Sam Foti has an excellent academic background; with educational institutions like Wharton, Oxford and UPENN on his account. Before joining the MONY group, he worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company from 1974 till 1988 and his last position held was the Vice President. He joined the MONY group in 1988 and his success story began.
Samuel J. Foti is now the President and Chief Operating Officer of the MONY group and also heading various subsidiaries under MONY. The MONY group is a financial services holding company and provides a wide range of asset accumulation and retail brokerage products and services through its member companies.
Samuel Foti has been the key driver behind many of initiatives that MONY took; his strategic ways of thinking and leadership style lead to not only the successful planning of these business critical steps but also their impeccable implementation. He was able to diversify the company’s distribution channels; expanding them beyond the conventional career agency system to including revolutionary mediums like the internet so that these services could target to a bigger audience at a lower cost. Also, he made conscious efforts to cut down unnecessary costs and keep a safe revenue cushion for the company.
